Jerry Anding

Jerry Glenn Anding, 61, of Olla, passed from this life on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at his home in Olla.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Kelly Baptist Church in Kelly with Bro. Joe Aguillard officiating.

Interment followed at the Chickasaw Cemetery in Olla under the direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Olla, LA.

Pallbearers were Jeramie Anding, Bubba Anding, Brylan Anding, Austin Anding, Josh Arnold and Eric Finch.

Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Joe Finley, Bobby Green and Jerry Esters.

He was born on November 17, 1962, to the union of his parents, William Edward Anding and Leva Sullivan Anding.

Jerry was a true southern outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent most of his life working in the logging woods. There was no job on the logging site that he couldn’t do. Jerry was always fun to be around and was known for his carrying on and picking with you. He had a big heart and was always taking care of others. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Anding; his son, Dustin Kyle Anding; brother, Kenneth Ray Anding Sr.; and his step-father, Huey Cockerham.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Blair Anding; his mother, Leva Cockerham; sons, Jeramie Anding (Mandy) and Eric Finch; siblings, Sherry Greenfield, Debbie Arnold (Butch), Angela Anding, Aubrey Anding and Roy Anding (Pam); grandchildren, Austin Anding, Brylan Anding, Destin Anding, Cameron Clark, Oktober Finch and Zander Finch; his nephew and cousins that were like brothers, Kenneth “Bubba” Anding Jr., Ray Sullivan and Michael Sullivan.
