Elson Ray Richey, 72, of Jonesville, LA, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
Services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Pisgah Baptist Church, Manifest, LA, with Revs. Kim Cook and Ken Hoots officiating.
Interment followed in the Heard Cemetery, Manifest, LA, under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.
Pallbearers were Randy Tullos, Charles Pickering III, Gerald Tullos, Shawn Scarbrock, Brian Sikes, David Vidrine, Ryan Gant
and Joseph Richey.
Honorary pallbearers were Curtis Richey and John Matthews.
He was born April 23, 1952. He was a dedicated father, grandfather and logger.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Thompson Richey; parents, William Richey Jr., Elsie Poole Richey and Ethelyn Richey; grandparents, William and Lillie Richey, and Woodie and Mamie Poole.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Jennifer Richey; son, Tyler Richey; five grandchildren, Hunter Renfrow (Harleigh), Kailey McGraw (Devin), Nathan Renfrow (Jessi), Bailey Cotten and Case Cotten; one great grandchild, Drake Owen McGraw; siblings, Carl Richey (Debbie) and Charles “Bit” Richey (Shelia), Monica LeBlanc and Stephanie Scarbrock (Billy).
