Olla-Standard Elementary School fifth-grader Gunner Lofton won first place in the state among all fifth graders during the inaugural Louisiana Ag Week Growing Artist Contest for his art piece entitled, “Let the Good Times Roll with Louisiana Agriculture.” The artwork was featured on the Louisiana Ag in the Classroom website and on the Louisiana Farm Bureau and Louisiana Ag in the Classroom’s Facebook pages. Gunners’ parents are Janah Lofton of Urania and Trey Douglas of Olla and his grandparents are Mickey and Deanie Lofton of Urania and Eual Douglas, Jr. of Olla.
