Candice Ann Smith, 34, of Jonesville, LA, tragically and unexpectedly passed from this life on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

Service details were not finalized at press time on Monday, July 1. To receive an updated service schedule, contact Jeremy Smith through social media.

She was born August 7, 1989, to Mollie Overstreet, and became a light in her family’s world. She won many beauty pageants as a child and excelled in school and social life growing up.

Candice’s unexpected passing comes as a shock to her family, friends and loved ones, who are still reeling at the loss. Candice was an incredibly loving soul; despite the trials and tribulations she went through in life. She had her ups and downs, but she loved her family more than life itself. In her alone time, she would color, draw and paint, all while thinking of her loved ones that she kept close to her heart. When she was around people, she definitely made herself the center of attention, and people knew. She had such a troubled life, but the ones who knew her have good memories of the beautiful person she truly was inside. She was a beloved daughter, mother, sister and a friend.

She was preceded in death by her adopted mother, Patricia Watson (Cooda Pop); grandfather, John Fagan; granny, Clara Fagan; Mawmaw, Mary Nell; and cousins, John Fagan and Donny Whiddon.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Mollie Overstreet; sons, Landyn Savell, Daylon Savell and Dontae’ Smith; daughter, Ashlyn Savell; brother, Jeremy Smith (Kimberly); nieces, Zayda Smith and Kayna Smith; brother, Joshua Smith (Candice); and nieces, Madi Jewell and Cali Smith.
