Andrew Altken Rooney, better known as Andy Rooney, had a long career in newspapers who later in life made the switch to radio and broadcast journalism. For people my age and older, he is remembered for his weekly broadcast, “A Few Minutes with Andy Rooney,” as part of the CBS News program 60 Minutes from 1978-2011.
