Operation Christmas Child (OCC) 2024 is in full swing both nationally and locally according to Tasha Chatman, OCC Pick-up Coordinator for Jena and the surrounding areas. Chatman, along with Jennifer Smith, coordinator of the OCC program in Olla, are working with area churches, clubs and residents to ensure that the 2024 goal for the international program of filling and delivering 12 million shoeboxes to needy children globally is attained. Over ten million of those shoeboxes will come from the US alone with 84,000 churches participating.
