LaSalle Tigers Blasted by Logansport

The LaSalle Tigers have suffered their second district loss in as many games. This loss comes at the hands of the Logansport Tigers last Friday night in Olla by the final score of 55-0. Logansport has dominated the district in football since joining District 3-1A and this past Friday night wasn’t any different. LaSalle was shorthanded for this contest as Tuff Street and Jessey Stowe were sidelined with injuries from the previous game.

Logansport didn’t waste any time piling up the points on La-Salle.

LaSalle’s defense would end up chasing Logansport the entire night. Logansport would roll up 55 points in this contest. Cutler Ganey would recover a fumble for the Tiger defense and Parker Brown would record a sack on the night.

LaSalle’s offense would be bottled up all night. Wyatt King would get most of the carries on this night, but positive yards would be hard to come by in this game. King would gain 68 yards on the ground against the powerful defense of Logansport.

LaSalle will bounce back and be ready for the last regular season game of the season. The Tigers will travel to Montgomery this coming Friday night to take on the Purple and White Tigers of the district.

Montgomery has been playing well as of late and LaSalle is looking to get back on track to make a run in the post season. Currently, LaSalle is ranked #29 in the power point ratings, just one spot short of the 28 field of teams that will make the Division IV Non-Select playoffs. A Tiger win, or other factors, such as other certain teams losing, is desperately needed for the season to continue.

If you can’t make it to the game in Montgomery, be sure to tune in to Sandlot Sports Network as Jason and Eli Peppers bring all the LaSalle Tiger action.

Hope to see you at the game.
