Hello, my name is Jack. One thing I learned in D.A.R.E. is to not do drugs. I don’t do drugs because it can give you health problems, alcohol slows brain down, tobacco can yellow your teeth and causes bad breath and smoking causes heart disease.
I also learned that some signs of stress are frustration, being nervous, anger and sadness. You also act differently, like trying to be alone and talking back. You can also talk about it with a friend.
I learned better ways to communicate with other people. Some examples are to look them in the eyes, stand still and don’t interrupt the other person while they are talking. From now on I will always try and use those things when I am communicating with other people.
I learned about a decision-making model. It can help you make decisions. First you write the problem. Then think about your choices. Next, you choose the best choice.
