What’s Good for the Goose…

What’s Good for the Goose…

When it comes to Washington D.C. politics, I prefer reaching back to the 17th century and applying an old English proverb which states: “What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.” The phrase has long been used to signify that what is right or wrong, or acceptable or not acceptable for one person, should be the same for another person. Whether it’s equal treatment for all or one rule for everyone, the implication is that no one should be above the law, and everyone should be treated fairly.
