last Wednesday, August 20, 2025, for a co-op field trip. During the visit, students toured the building learning about the local newspaper’s long history and were shown how the paper is put together each week. Students’ ages ranged from first grade to seventh grade, as they toured students completed a scavenger hunt or answered trivia questions. Students testing their inserting skills with an inserting competition, and to end the day, the students looked through past editions of the newspaper - which are bound and kept in office - particularly interested in papers published the years they were born. The local newspaper staff enjoyed hosting the homeschool group, with two of the staff sharing how they too were homeschooled and now work at the local paper.
