Shirley Cotton

Shirley Cotton, 85, of Jonesville, LA, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at her home. Services were held at 1 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2026, at Harrisonburg United Pentecostal Church, Harrisonburg, LA, with Bro. John Holloway officiating, under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA. Pallbearers were Dusty Dupuis, Bo Dupuis, David Austin Chevallier, Brandon Woods, David Allen Chevallier and Ronnie Dupuis. Honorary pallbearers were Jon Ingram, Tristan Ingram, Logan Dupuis, Caiden Dupuis, Cullen Chevallier and Cad Chevallier. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elzie and Idee; husband, Tommy Cotton, Sr.; brothers, George Louis Hughes and Enzore Joseph Hughes; sister, Lucille Tarver; and granddaughter, Rebecca Dupuis. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Shirlene Jones and Shanla Chevallier (David); sister, Myril Smart; grandchildren, Ashley Dupuis (Brandon), Dusty Dupuis, Bo Dupuis (Amber) and David Austin Chevallier; great-grandchildren, Logan Dupuis, Alisha Dupuis, Jon Ingram, Ciara Woods, Alexis Dupuis, Caiden Dupuis, Cullen Chevallier and Cad Chevallier; and a host of nieces and nephews.
