Samuel “Tater” Dwight Gillespie, Jr., 36, of Sicily Island, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at his home.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2026, at Young’s Funeral Home under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home, Ferriday, Louisiana.

He was born August 14, 1989, in Ferriday, Louisiana, to the union of his parents, Samuel Dwight Gillespie, Sr. and Janice Ferrington Gillespie.
