To those who know me, I am the unofficial ‘quilt lady’ and this has been a month of nonstop quilting for me! I have repaired a treasured quilt made by a precious grandmother, I made a baby quilt for my youngest grandson, created and sewed a few t-shirt quilts, and finished a patriotic quilt for a Vietnam War veteran. While keeping me on my tippy toes, I must confess that I have quite an affinity for piecing together fabric in a meaningful and purposeful way. It gives me a sense of satisfaction that goes heart deep, connects me to those for whom I quilt, and which reaches far beyond myself into the past security of family. It also identifies me as a quilting fanatic!
