LDWF cites two Jena residents for violations
Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) enforcement agents cited two subjects on Aug. 2 for alleged fishing violations in LaSalle Parish. Agents cited Donald Chevallier, 64, and Glenda M. Barron, 56, both of Jena, for using lead nets in other than overflow regions and taking game fish illegally. Agents received a complaint that hoop nets were being left on Little River near French Fork with dead fish in them. Agents responded to the scene and found that two of the hoop nets had lead nets attached. It is illegal to fish nets containing a lead net in other than an overflow area. On the night of Aug.
