Think back with me to a day when you were in a high school English class and your teacher began to talk about a figure of speech called an oxymoron. If you were like me, you paid little or no attention to her. You may have had a thought like, “Why do I need to know what an oxymoron is? When I get out of high school, I will never need to know what one is.”
