I do believe we are living in the dog days of summer; perhaps ‘dog days’ is an inappropriate description of the scorching heat and current drought we are presently experiencing. Most of the outside dogs are panting and perspiring along with the rest of us, their little tongues hanging -drinking water then collapsing in the shade.
