A dispute over the Catahoula Parish Library’s 2026 budget consumed much of the Catahoula Parish Police Jury’s regular meeting Monday night, Aug. 24, as jurors and library officials struggled to reconcile conflicting versions of the budget and questioned a series of expenditures, including nearly $400,000 in withdrawn certificates of deposit and costly building renovations.
