Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) enforcement agents cited a subject for an alleged littering violation on Sept. 17 in Grant Parish. Agents cited Justin Davis, 40, of Jena, for commercial littering. LDWF agents received a complaint of a large illegal dump site on a Kisatchie National Forest road. The litter consisted of sheets of plywood, lumber, furniture and household garbage. Agents began their investigation and documented the scene, which brought them to a nearby residence. After arriving at the residence, agentsobserved a freshly cleared area and learned that the owners recently hired a land clearing contractor to tear down a mobile home and haul it off. Agents then interviewed the contractor and learned he hired an individual with a dump truck to haul several loads for him. Agents also learned that Davis was the dump truck driver. Agents made contact with Davis and cited him for commercial littering. Commercial littering brings up to a $500 fine and may require the responsible party to pay for the cleanup. Agents participating in this case are Sgt. Raymond Davis, Corporal Ryan Durand, Corporal Jeremiah Fletcher, and Agent Benjamin Sturdivant.
