Some of you might recall the dispensation of time when there was no such animal as a cell phone: no texting, no messaging, no instant connections - no nothing. Landlines ruled and all phones had a curly cord that connected the detachable handset (into which you spoke and listened) to the cradle. Phones were stationary and only one person could use the home phone at a time, and the entire family had to share one or two devices, and you couldn’t take them with you. Those were the dark ages, my friends.
