Stanford Richardson, Jr.

Stanford Emerson Richardson, Jr., 83, of Jonesville, LA, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at his home.

He was born September 23, 1940.

Stanford served his country in the Army National Guard from 1964 to 1974.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Jonesville First Baptist Church, with the Bro. Todd Whittington officiating.

Interment followed in the Heard Cemetery, Manifest, LA, under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stanford Richardson, Sr.; mother, Georgia Bennett Richardson; and sisters, Joyonne Richardson Brooks and Lynne Richardson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his spouse of 58 years, Sandra Richardson of Jonesville; son, Stan Richardson (Nikki) of Jonesville; daughter, Tiffany Craig (Reginald) of Deville; granddaughters, Ashlyn and Jessie; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Stan Richardson, Reginald Craig, Mike Davis, Larry McKinnery, Butch Riley and Al Cadwallader.

Honorary pallbearers were David Coon, Buddy Green, David Alvin Chevallier and Thomas Bourgoyne.
