Lady Tigers Victors Over St. Mary’s

The LaSalle Lady Tigers took down St. Mary’s at home 51-47 January 30 to move to 13-10 overall and 2-4 in District 3-1A play.

LaSalle would play sloppy in the first half that allowed St. Mary’s to hang around but regained their composure to eventually pull out the win.

The Lady Tigers would be led in scoring by Mattie Parham with 15 points. Leanna Womack and Lana Childress would also aid in the scoring. Defensively, Mattie would pull down 20 rebounds. The Lady Tigers hoped to use this momentum to make another pass through the district teams.

On January 28, La-Salle traveled to Montgomery where they fought hard but came up short against a talented Montgomery team. The Lady Tigers lost the contest 48-33.

On Friday night, January 31, the Lady Tigers traveled to Lakeview for another district game but also came up short losing 51-16.

The Lady Tigers hosted Northwood-Lena on Tuesday night of this week and are set to travel to Logansport on Friday.

These girls are still ranked at #16 in the power points and this ranking comes with a home playoff game. LaSalle will need to post a few more wins to hold on to this ranking.

LaSalle is looking to make a deep run in the post season. The regular season has two weeks remaining and these ladies are needing our support. Let’s pack the gym every time they take the floor. Our cheers and support can help them on to victory. Hope to see you at the games.
