Geebo Brings Magic and Laughter to the LaSalle Library

Geebo Brings Magic and Laughter to the LaSalle Library

Laughter and excitement filled the LaSalle Parish Library on July 7 as magician Geebo entertained children and their families with an interactive magic show.

A first-time performer at the library, Geebo’s mission is to bring joy and laughter to audiences through magic, comedy and audience participation. Judging by the reactions of those in attendance, he accomplished exactly that.

Throughout the performance, children watched in amazement as Geebo performed a variety of magic tricks, keeping the audience engaged with humor and surprises. One favorite involved a picture of a rabbit in a hat, leaving the young audience searching for the elusive pink rabbit and erupting with excitement when the trick was revealed.

In addition to his magic, Geebo introduced the audience to several live animal companions. Children had the opportunity to meet a dove, tarantula, snake, turtle and Geebo’s rabbit, Coco. Many eagerly volunteered to hold, wear or pet the animals during the show.

Following the performance, children lined up for one final chance to pet Coco before Geebo packed up and concluded the event.

The library’s summer programming continues next week with Mrs. Debra Jones appearing at the Jena branch and a water safety program at the Olla branch later that evening.

For more information about upcoming events, contact the LaSalle Parish Library at (318) 992-5675, visit the library’s Facebook page, or go to www.lasalle.lib.la.us.
